Campsite

Camping Au Donau is located directly on the cycling track Donauradweg R1 (Eurovelo 6) Passau – Vienna next to the cultural metropolis Linz. The area is like a park and extends like an island below the Danube bank along a natural lake.

Campsite equipment:

  • 45 paved pitches for caravans and mobile homes. All with electricity (13 ampere) and water-connection
  • Large, separate meadow for tents with many tables, benches and roofing (ideal for cyclists)
  • Chalet (our wooden tent)
  • 2 tended sanitary buildings, handicapped accessible
  • Supply and disposal for mobile homes
  • Washing machine and dryer
  • Barbecue and campfire place, located on the romantic natural lake
    Tip: We’ll organize your personal “private barbecue min. 2 persons”, a delight you can either enjoy directly on the campsite or in the guest’s garden with perspective on the Danube: mixed grill (with meat or vegetarian), opulently garnished, can be broiled by yourself on the charcoal table grill. (please order in advance)

  • Rafting on Holzzillen, (a kind of traditional wooden row boat that can freely be used by our guests)

  • Landing stage for canoeists in the Danube harbor (free landing for camping guests)
  • NEW: Pier, once a week (tuesday), Linz-Grein-Linz-line (ideal for cycling and boat trips)

  • Every day from 7:00 am fresh pastry, breakfast in the guest’s garden
  • Only some steps from the campsite away, you can find the recreation centre Au Donau which can be visited by all campers

2012 the campsite is open from March 30th to October 15th (with nice weather already from April 7th)
